This vibrant and symbolic paintings is inspired by Jesus’ words in Luke 21, where He speaks to His disciples about the End Times and His second coming, using the fig tree as a sign. Jesus says: “Look at the fig tree and all the trees. When they sprout leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is near. Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near” (Luke 21:29–31).
In these artworks, the fig tree is brought to life in vivid color, representing both a sign of the times and the nearness of God’s Kingdom. The fresh, budding leaves speak of awakening and divine timing, inviting the viewer to reflect on the the spiritual season we are in, and the closeness of Christ’s return.
